Exchanging a foreign driving licence
You can apply to exchange your foreign driving licence in the municipality where you are registered. Applying for and collecting a driving licence is possible in the municipality in which you are registered. The applicable fees can be paid during the appointment. By acknowledging a child you assume legal parenthood. You don’t need to be the birth parent. This means: The child receives reciprocal right to inherit, a maintenance obligation is established between parent and child and the child will have your family name. Some pension funds or other benefits agencies require a life certificate. When this is the case, the municipality can issue a life certificate. This is proof that you are still alive. If you submit your request through DigiD, we will send the certificate within three working days. Registration of a birth

Stillborn, registration in Key Register of Persons (KRP)
As of 3 February 2019, it is possible to submit a request to register your stillborn in the Key Register of Persons (KRP). You need to do this in the municipality where you live. To register you need to go to the town hall.
To enter your stillborn in the KRP the duration of the pregnancy is irrelevant. How long ago the birth took place is also irrelevant.
You lost your baby, which is a heart-wrecking situation. Please accept our sincere condolences. We will do our utmost to help you in the registration process as best as we can. When your child is stillborn or dies shortly after birth, you need to register this in the municipality where your baby is born.
